Hello crafty friends! It’s Rosie and I’m back with another project. My inspiration for this set of cards was a summer coffee house on the beach. I used some muted neutrals and jewel tones with the Coffee Delights Stamp & Die Set. I started my project as I do most of my projects, by stamping out the images a couple times and then choosing a color theme and coloring everything. I like to multi stamp images so I can experiment with marker colors a bit and if I mess up my coloring, I am not stressed about it. After I color and die cut, I find coordinating pattern and solid paper. This time I used the Natural Basics Paper Pad.

 

I am really loving the Frames & Flags Die Set. It has phenomenal dies for layering and I reach for it all the time. This first set of cards is simply layers of pattern paper and cardstock. The Frames & Flags Die Set gives the coffee cups image a nice "stage" to sit on.
The next set is similar but I pulled in a little more of the muted mauve color. Again, I used that Frames & Flags Die Set with the same paper pack. I did add a heart and some brown splatter on the scalloped card but the coffee cups are the focal point.

And because I can't throw anything away, I had these two tiny coffee cups and the coffee beans left so I made them the star of the show using the Card Layout 6 Die Set. This is another card front panel die called the Corner Flip Die Set and that makes putting together a card quick and easy. The Natural Basics Paper Pad is two sided so the flipped edge looks just as good as the front. 

I hope you enjoyed all the inspiration in my post today. If you have not noticed by now, I love to mass produce cards. I use all the bits and pieces and don't like to 'save them for later'. Bits and pieces make the best clean and simple cards and always become my favorite projects of the card making session.

Holiday Cheer Card!

Hello Crafty Friends!! 

Larissa here today to share a festive Christmas in July card today using some of my FAVORITE products to create a FUN scene!! I LOVE the Holiday Haul image and wanted to show how it can pair perfectly with the size of the Christmas Time Cat and Christmas Time Dog images, so I hope this INSPIRES you to create some Christmas scenes!!

I started by stamping and embossing the images from the Holiday Haul, Christmas Time Cats, Christmas Time Dogs and Newton's Christmas Tree stamp sets!! I stamped with Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and embossed with WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder onto white cardstock!! Then I colored the images with Copic markers!!


Truck: G00, G02 & G45
Green: YG00, YG13 & YG25

Red: R00, R14 & R37
Turquoise: BG00, BG45 & BG49

Yellow: Y00, Y13 & YR23
White: N0, N3 & N5

Black: N0, N3, N5 & N8
Orange: YR00 & YR68

Brown: E30, E33 & E37
Cats: E40, E43 & E47 

Pink: R00

Then I die cut the images out using the coordinating dies for Holiday Haul, Christmas Time Cats, Christmas Time Dogs and Newton's Christmas Tree die sets!! I then added some white gel pen highlights and some back glaze pen to the noses and then added some Glitter Nuvo Drops and some Ranger Glossy Accents for some sparkle and shine!! I LOVE how all of these things bring the images to LIFE!!

Next, I created the background I die cut some white cardstock using the Basic Frames Die Set!! Then I inked the background with some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink after masking off the bottom of the card panel with some masking tape. I then masked the sky and inked the ground with some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink. I wanted to add some snow falling to the background, so I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Christmas Greeting Stamp Set and then I added some Salvaged Patina Distress Spritz and some Picket Fence Distress Paint Splatters for the falling snow. I also applied some liquid adhesive to the ground and added some Distress Rock Candy Glitter for the snow!! SQUEAL!! I LOVE how it looks just like real glittering snow!!

Next, I adhered the images to the background panel using some foam tape for some dimension!! I added the extra present, candy cane and ornament images to help to set the scene even more and I LOVE these little images for that reason! They can be used in so many different ways!! 




Lastly, I die cut the scalloped frame using the Frames & Flags Die Set and die cut it from some Bright Basics Paper!! I adhered the card panel and then added some foam tape for some dimension before adhering it to a white cardstock A2 card-base for some dimension!!

Rainbow Of Bookmarks!

Hello! It’s Rosie and I’m back with another project. This time I created a set of bookmarks and one was used on a card.

 

To start I die cut a bookmark from the Bookmark II Die Set and card panel from Neenah Solar White cardstock. I wanted to create a rainbow of color in the background so ink smooshing Hero Arts Reactive and Tim Holtz Distress inks. There are lots of ways to do this technique but I like to smoosh on my glass mat add a spritz of water and then use a recycled sheet of acetate to pick up the color and smoosh on the paper. I also don’t go in rainbow order when doing this. I start with the middle and end colors then space the other colors in between. This gives me better spacing and allows each color to dry a bit before adding an overlapping color. After that dried, I used the tiny paw print stamp from the All Booked Up Stamp Set to add subtle paw prints in coordinating colors.

 

While I waited for those inky panels to dry, I stamped and colored the other images in the All Booked Up Stamp Set. I die cut those and stacked the die cuts.

I die cut another bookmark to use on the card panel. This bookmark was too long to add to the card panel so I did some partial die cutting to shorten the bookmark. I added tiny paw prints with a light grey ink and adhered the cat die cut. The I stamped the sentiment with Versfine ink near the bottom. To finish the card I adhered the ink smooshed panel to a card base and die cut the scalloped frame from vellum with the Frames & Flags Die Set. I used a tape runner to adhere the vellum to the panel and added foam tape to pop up the bookmark.

To finish the bookmark I added another bookmark to the back that had a rainbow of paw prints. I adhered the back to the front and added the dog die cut and sentiment. I didn’t have a coordinating ribbon to I colored a pink ribbon with a black alcohol ink marker.

It's Happy Meowr Somewhere Card by Samantha Mann

A Tropical Happy Meowr Card!
Today we are fun, rainbow and tropical-themed card by Samantha!

This card features:

Newton’s Happy Meowr Die Set
Hibiscus Stencil Set

I started by stamping the images from Newton’s Happy Meowr and the Cocktail Mixer stamp sets. Then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color them in! Once they were dry, I used a white gel pen to add some details. Then I used the coordinating dies to die cut out the images.

To create the background, I used some light grey cardstock. Then I used some white embossing paste and the Hibiscus Stencil Setto add a little bit of tropical whimsy and fun! Also, the subtle addition of the texture is so cool!

Then I die cut out the frame from white cardstock using the Frames & Tags Die Set, which was popped up with foam tape!
I finished the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white. It's a combination of sentiments from
Cocktail Mixer and Newton’s Happy Meowr. It's was so fun to combine these stamp sets!

Party On! Puppy Card by Larissa Heskett

80's Puppy Birthday Card!

Larissa here today to share a Bright and Happy Birthday Card FULL of personality!! I LOVE these NEW products, and I hope I INSPIRE you to create some Birthday Cards for some SPECIAL recipients!!

This card features:

Retro Mix Toner Card Fronts
Party On! Stamp Set

I started by foiling the NEW Retro Mix Toner Card Fronts using some Therm O Web Deco Foil in Mystic Rainbow!! TIP: SAVE that negative foil sheet for another project!! Then I cut the foiled sheet down to create the thin panel!

 

Next, I created my card panel by inking with some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink in the center of the panel! Then I used the NEW Music Notes Stencil to ink with some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink! I applied some of the ink darker to have some of the music notes POP for more contrast! I adhered the thin foiled sheet panel to the left-hand side of the card panel and added some Black Soot Distress Paint splatters! I sat the panel aside to dry!!

I stamped and embossed the NEW Puppy's Mix Tape image using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and embossed with WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!! Then I colored the image with Copic Markers!

Purple: V00, V06 & V15   

Pink: RV00, RV52 & RV55


Grey: N0, N3 & N6      

Turquoise: BG10, BG45 & BG49  

   


Then I die cut the Image out using the coordinating NEW Puppy's Mix Tape Die Set!

I wanted the image to "DANCE" so I adhered an action wobbles pop-up spring from Pear Blossom Press and the image wobbles back-n-forth like he's DANCING to the Beat! SQUEAL!! It's such a FUN interaction for the recipient!! 

Next, I stamped and embossed the sentiment from the NEW Party On! Stamp Set using WoW Clear Embossing Ink and embossed with WoW Bright White Embossing Powder onto some turquoise cardstock!! Then I die cut the sentiment out using the banner die from the Frames & Flags Die Set! Then I adhered the banner underneath the image with some foam tape for some dimension!!

I finished off the design with some iridescent rhinestones and I LOVE the way they sparkle and shine tying in the shimmer and shine of the foiled panel!!

Purr-fect Day Card by Amanda Wilcox

Wishing You a Purr-fect Day Floral Card!

Hi friends! It's Amanda from Twiddler's Nook! I'm here to share this fun ink smooshed card with you today featuring some sweet floral goodies from Newton's Nook.

To start, I used the ink smooshing technique to create my background. You accomplish this by taking an acrylic block and inking it up with any ink pad you choose. Spritz that with water and smoosh it all over your paper. The less precise you are the better! Repeat until you have the color density you like. Use a heat tool between smooshes to help the ink layer instead of mixing together. It's really fun. I highly recommend trying this if you haven't before.

 

Next, I stamped images from Newton's Blooms and colored them with my copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and set it all aside. From the Frames & Flags Die Set I cut a banner to stamp my sentiment on the left side. This leaves room for the image to overlap the banner when the card is assembled.

Last steps before assembly are to stamp the Floral Roundabout image using the same dark pink ink I used on the ink smooshed background and my sentiment. Then I tore the edge of the background panel for a more distressed look. I splattered the panel with unicorn watercolor for some sparkle and then popped the panel up on a white card base. To finish assembly I added the main image to the banner with liquid glue and then popped everything up with foam squares.

For finishing touches today I added a little glossy accents and stardust Stickles on different parts of the images. Things like ladybug dots, wings and kitty noses. These little things really make your card pop at the end. Totally worth the time.
